Cut Your Own Tree This Year! 🌲

We list the best places in the GTA to pick and cut your very own Christmas tree!

oin the many families who treasure their annual visit to a choose-and-cut farm and take home a Christmas tradition.

Head out to one of these Cut Your Own tree farms in the Greater Toronto Area. Go early in the season for the best selection as some farms have a limited amount of trees this year and will close when they are all cut. All information is subject to change so check websites before heading out!


Horton's Kennedy Farm

The farm has a great selection of trees this year. Open Saturdays and Sundays: November 27, 28 and December 4, 5, 11, 12 9am from - 4:30pm. After December 12 will be determined based on inventory. The farm offers Free Hot Chocolate, Pure Maple Products for sale, Bonfires, Tree Baling, Fresh Boughs for sale and drilling machine for spike style tree stands. More info

Cut your own and pre-cut trees are available this year. Wreaths and tree stands, and accessories are available. This year, there won't be any activities for the kids and Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus won't be visiting. The Christmas Gift Barn will also be closed. Open November 26th from Noon to 7:00pm. Weekdays Noon to 7:00pm. Weekends 9:00am to 5:00pm. No cutting in fields after 4:30pm.

You can cut-your-own tree and pre-cut trees are available for purchase. Visit the Evergreen Store for all of your holiday gift and décor needs. Features a Christmas & Holiday Village. The holiday season turns to winter magic beginning November 20, 2021 and every weekend until December 19, 2021. Weekend activities run Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The farm is open 7 days a week from 9:00am to 4:00pm for Christmas Tree cutting.

This family owned and operated Christmas tree farm in Hockley Valley offers a variety of services including retail cut-your-own, corporate tree installation and decorating. They offer Spruce, Fraser and Balsam firs of various sizes and ready to cut. Open for cut-your-own events weekends starting the last weekend in November through until Christmas Eve. Start a family tradition complete with free hot chocolate by the fire! They also offer free tree baling and assistance in securing the tree to your vehicle.

Fresh cut premium firs and cut your own spruce. Tractor wagon rides to trees are only on weekends. Stop by the Christmas Store for Handmade gifts and décor created by local artisans. During the Christmas season horse drawn wagon rides are available 10am-4pm on weekends. Food Trucks and Bonfires.

Horton's Magic Hill Tree Farm

The farm currently has a good supply to start the year but there will likely be a shortage of both cut-your-own and pre-cut trees. Expect larger than usual crowds and limited supplies. Horton's Magic Hill is celebrating its 35th year open to the public. Magic Hill is a scenic 100 acre Century Farm with mature trees. The wagon rides, munchouse and playgrounds create a carnival atmosphere.

MacPherson Christmas Tree Farm

This is a small family owned farm and cut your own trees are limited this year due to the huge demand for trees in Ontario. They do have an excellent selection of pre-cut trees available. This year, they are offering wagon rides (limited to two families a ride), scavenger hunts for the kiddos and free hot chocolate. All services (except wagon rides) and activities will be available during the week as well. Open Tuesday to Friday: 11 am – 4pm and Saturday – Sunday: 9 am – 4 pm. Closed on Mondays.

Middleton is a quiet family Christmas Tree Farm, established since 1985. Walk through trails, or feel free to bring your toboggan. Easy access to the trees - great for seniors and families with small children. Open weekends dawn to dusk or by appointment weekdays. More info


Rudolph's Tree Farm

Harvest your own Balsam Fir or Spruce. They also have pre-selected "ready to go" large premium trees such as Silver fir, Fraser fir and Colorado Blue spruce. Open Saturday & Sunday from 9am until dark, starting last weekend in November. Free services at Boston trim and bale station. They also offer Wagon rides, etc.

Spruce Meadows Christmas Trees

The farm invites you and your family to choose and cut your perfect Christmas tree. Bring your Christmas spirit and enjoy some old-tyme country charm! Located on 93 acres, the woods, fields and ponds offer the perfect setting for a traditional family Christmas outing. Limited hours this year due to fewer trees being available. Not open on weekends. The Snack Shack and Wagon Rides will not be operating. Various dates from December 1 to December 10, 2pm-4pm.
